With mild temperatures and coastal views, many find Panama City Beach the perfect place to hang out in November. After all, when guests see all there is to do it’s easy to understand why. November brings everyone together to enjoy live entertainment, free festivals, fresh seafood and much more. Check out what’s happening in Panama City Beach in November 2016:
Admire the Classics
Panama City Beach hosts two shows for boat and car enthusiasts. The free Antique Carter Craft and Carter Boats Show features Carter Craft boats, which are made in Parker, FL. Held at the Bay County Historical Society Museum, visitors can see the Pandhandle’s boat history on display and imagine themselves riding the open waters.
For more than 10 years, the Emerald Coast Cruizin’ has welcomed car lovers to see more than 3,000 hot rods and classic cars. The family-friendly event, which runs for six days, also hosts a swap meet, parade, cuise-ins, live music, a block party and more. In addition to browsing cars, families will find hundreds of vendors selling everything from apparel, jewelry and crafts to automotive parts and modifications. Emerald Coast Cruizin’ takes place at Aaron Bessant Park, with a three-day pass available for around $30 per person.
Fill Up for Cheap
Head to Pier Park for Shrimp and Oyster Festival. This one-day only event allows guests to sample seafood and oyster dishes created by Pier Park restaurants while they listen to live music. Those interested can purchase a wristband before the event, for around $20 each, and save on admission.
Fall is the perfect season for chili, and the Spinnaker Beach Club hosts the annual Chili Vibrations Music Festival and Chili Cookoff. For only $5 per person, visitors can attend the chili cookoff and sample different takes on this favorite dish. After the contest, enjoy seven hours of live music and good vibrations from performers such as BallyHoo!, for only $15 per ticket. Families are welcome to event, and children under 12 get in free.
Get in on the Action
Cheer on your favorite team at the Snapperbowl Classic, a youth football tournament that has attracted fans for more than 45 years. For four days, visitors can watch multiple teams from all over the U.S. play in the Ultimate Tournament of Champions. This event encourages more than just winning. It strives to bring teams, coaches, parents, and the community together for fun and friendly competition.
At the Color Vibe 5K Panama City, runners can get a color blast and get into shape. This popular event, held in dozens of cities throughout the U.S., offers different colored zones located through the 5K where participants are tagged by colored paint. The longer you run, the more colorful you’ll become! After the race, everyone is invited to the dance party and color throw, and one local sponsor for the 2016 event is the Bay County Chamber of Commerce.
On Thanksgiving Day, locals and visitors can run for a good cause at the Bay Point Turkey Trot. This 5K starts at the Sheraton Bay Point Reserve and runs along the marina, golf course, and beautiful beach homes. Individuals and families can participate in the event and will receive a medal, free merchandise, have a blast playing outdoors in bouncy houses, and enjoy food and refreshments before and after the race. The event benefits the Wesley Burnham Foundation.
dos,Christmas Comes Early
The Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis has delighted guests for more than 30 years. Those visiting Panama City Beach can watch the show at the Marina Civic Center, and see Grammy-winning Chip Davis entertain audiences with Christmas music and multimedia effects. The whole family will enjoy seeing the holiday season come alive at this musical event.
On select weekends from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Eve, families can attend a free Beach Home for the Holidays concert at Aaron Bessant Park. In late November, check out the campfires, eat s’mores, meet Santa, and enjoy live entertainment that celebrates the holiday season. After the shows, don’t miss the fireworks show (on Friday) and the Christmas tree lighting (on Saturday). Dogs are also welcome to the park as long as they are leashed and owners clean up after them.
