Gulf Coast Jam Knows How to Party
Each year, thousands flock to the Gulf Coast Jam in Panama City Beach to see some of the hottest talent in country and rock music. The three-day music festival, held over Labor Day weekend, features live music, food and vendors, all set against the city’s Gulf beach backdrop. If you love country music and Southern rock, the Gulf Coast Jam will not disappoint. Big-name acts and local bands fill the stage and play your favorite country hits. Past performers have included: Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Toby Keith, Trace Adkins and Brantley Gilbert. In addition to big stars, guests will also enjoy performances by the Pepsi Southern Original winners. The Pepsi Southern Original competition gives 13 contestants a chance to win a top spot at the finals and performance at the Gulf Coast Jam. Read to plan your trip? Tickets are available in a variety of prices and packages. A three-day general pass costs about $210 and includes complimentary shuttle access.
VIP packages range from $530 to $1,000, and include perks such as access to special viewing areas, exclusive entry, front stage access, and drink and food coupons. Special prices are also available for active and retired military personnel for about $110, and they may purchase tickets for the entire family. Rules and Entry Info
As with many music festivals, it’s important to know what you can and cannot bring. At the Gulf Coast Jam, there are no permanent seats, so guests must bring their own chairs. Other items you can bring include small purses, hats, sunscreen, beach towels, cell phones and small umbrellas.
Items that are not acceptable include blankets, coolers, beach umbrellas, professional cameras and recording devices, pets and backpacks. Guests must also trade their ticket for a wristband before entering the park. View a full list of items and rules.
Things to Do, Food
When taking a break between sets or simply stretching your legs, visit one of the vendors. This is a fun way to meet Panama City Beach locals and find custom items such as jewelry, cowboy hats, outdoor and women’s apparel, and more.
The Gulf Coast Jam takes place at Frank Brown Park, which is also in proximity to some of the city’s top restaurants and attractions. Nearby hot spots include Pineapple Willy’s, Back Porch Seafood House, Pier Park, Tootsie’s, and Wicked Wheel Bar and Grill.
