Eat With Santa: Dec. 3 and Dec. 10
Families will love dining with Santa himself, and two popular attractions offer the chance to do just that. To start the day, Dave and Buster’s in Pier Park hosts a breakfast with Santa event from 9:30 to 11:30. For around $20 per person, guests will receive breakfast, a powercard and personal photo to take home. Those who can’t make breakfast should head to Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville for lunch with Santa. The restaurant welcomes guests to talk with Santa, make crafts, write letters to overseas troops, enjoy hot chocolate and more.
Kick Off the Season at the Barn: Dec. 3
Go big or go home at Christmas at the Barn. Held at the Wicked Wheel Bar and Grill, singles and couples alike can enjoy a hearty buffet-style meal and live entertainment. This event is held at the barn, an onsite venue for special events and gatherings. Tickets range from $30 to $50, and the live swing band will help get you in the right party mood.
Watch the Christmas Tree Lighting: Dec. 5
For more than 35 years, the PCB Christmas Tree Lighting has delighted and united the community. This popular holiday event takes place at Frank Brown Park and begins around 6:30 p.m. In addition to the tree lighting, visitors will enjoy music and refreshments provided by local schools, churches, and civic groups. Don’t forget to let the kids have their pictures taken with Santa, and everyone who brings an item for the toy drive enters a contest for a free gift.
Catch a Parade: Dec. 10
Love a good parade? Then make plans to attend the free Optimist Christmas Parade, which will travel through Pier Park. This annual event features more than 80 people riding cars, showing support, and raising awareness for local organizations and causes. Guests should expect to see local high school bands, lots of lights and much more. The Optimist Club of the Beaches aims to provide hope and a positive vision to the community.
Step Back in Time: Dec. 14-17
Celebrate the true meaning of Christmas at the Bethlehem Christmas Village, held at Captain Anderson’s Marina. During the event, families will enjoy live music, reenactments, a petting zoo and church choirs telling the Christmas story. In addition, vendors will line the area, providing places to shop and meet locals. Admission to the event is free, however visitors are encouraged to bring canned goods and unwrapped toys for local charities.
Experience Wonderland’s Magic: Dec. 19
Another festive and fun way to celebrate the holidays in Panama City Beach is attending the Broadway Christmas Wonderland at Marina Civic Center.
